The boat's best features Ease of handeling Sail well on all points of sail comfortable staterooms
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The way the anchor chain hangs up entering the chain locker causing the chain to jump off the windless. Cockpit lockers that open forward instead ofup and get in the way of the walk thru area
Sailing characterisitcs Boat tracks well an gets itself in a groove.
Motoring characterisitcs motors at 7 to7.5 knots at 2700 rpms using about .70gph
Liveability Very Comfortable. We stay aboard about 5 days a week. With the mast in the main stateroom you need to quite down the rigging and various wind directions cause the mast to pump on ocassion.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any I bought the boat from Farallone Yachts in Alameda CA and have been very pleased with their service doing warrenty work and other things.
Other comments I would be very pleased to purchase another Catalina yacht
