Review of the Catalina 25 by Al King

Owner bought the boat in 98  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, It has been and excelent purchase and for a first sailboat an excellent boat to train on. Great for weekends.  
Gear that's been added digital depth finder-fish locater, cd player-radio, new charging system for batterys, new electrical outlet for ac appliances. new uphoustry.  
Structural or complex improvements new bottom paint (VCtar and antifouling)  
The boat's best features It is a great place to spend the night or weekend , very comfortable for the size of boat. Cook aboard(alcohol stove, battery charger from engine as well as from shore power. can sleep six. Has Honda 9.9 outboard 4 cycle- 6yrs old low hours. good stable sailing vessal.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Everything is in excellent working condition. For the age, gelcoat is somewhat weathered.  
Sailing characterisitcs columbia challanges you with 4-6 foot swells, winds from 10-25 mphs
