Year built 1999
Location of boat Jupiter, FL
The boat is sailed on Open ocean
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2000
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely YES
Gear that's been added Chart Plotter, Radar, Differential GPS. Radar Arch with Dingy Davits. High Voltage Alternator/Regulator. Bimini top with a Florida dodger. Air Conditioning. Main sail Furling, Cruising Spinnaker. Spade Anchor and a Danforth as secondary.
Structural or complex improvements Installed a Radar arch from which I am able to carry an inflatable
The boat's best features It is a 40 foot boat for two.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Nothing yet.
Sailing characterisitcs So far the strongest winds have been 40 knots and highest seas have been 10 to 12ft. It handled very balanced on all points of sail.
Motoring characterisitcs The boat was motored across the entire state of Florida, through the Okeechobee Waterway. 50 Hours
Liveability The boat is designed to acomodate a couple as if it was a 40 ft. boat. Queen Size Bed with regular springs. A separate shower from the vanity. A very large cockpit. Large boat ammenities such as an electric winlass, 660 Amp Hours of Battery, and so on.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any I have had excellent service from the dealer I purchased the boat. Eastern Yacht Sales, on Riviera Beach, FL.
Other comments This is a boat which was vey carefully designed. The boat only measures 31 ft. However it provides the ammenities only found on a 40 ft. boat except for the number of berths. (It only sleeps 4 comfortably)
