Location of boat Augusta, GA
The boat is sailed on Lakes
How the boat is used Day sailing
Normal wind strength Press here and selec
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 1980
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, it has been a good boat. But now I am finding that it takes more work to keep the topsides clean. It stays in the water year around at the Augusta Sailing Club on Clark Hill Lake.
Gear that's been added none
Structural or complex improvements none
The boat's best features easy to sail
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. plastic cleats and hatch boards
Sailing characterisitcs
Motoring characterisitcs a 2 1/2 HP motor does not have enough power in a headwind
Liveability I prefer to go home each night and sleep air conditioning rather than sleep on board the boat during the high humidtity summers in GA.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any None, I bought the boat from an individual.
Other comments The 22 is a great boat for lake sailing.
