Review of the Catalina 22 by Joe Kleid

Gear that's been added This winter I bought a tiller for the catalina 25 and adapted it for the 22. there wasn't enough leg room under the tiller, and this new tiller has an 8  
Structural or complex improvements  
The boat's best features the boat is forgiving for new sailors like ourselves. very good first boat, easy to sail  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. the mainsheet at the rear is uncomfortable, trying a new kit that will allow the usual front hand on the sheet rear on the tiller  
Sailing characterisitcs she sails well, this past summer, our first, was a dog- hot hot and little breeze- looking for a little cooler and a bit stiffer this summer  
Motoring characterisitcs with our 8hp mercury, we've  
Liveability I never liked camping, and i wouldn't like to sleep on our boat- or even some of the bigger ones i saw at the show in Hartford this past weekend- why? sleep/eat/piss in a small space that a motel room starts to look like a 4br colonial?
