Review of the Catalina 25 by Grigs

Year built 1986
Location of boat Warwick,R.I.
The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength less than 10 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2006
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes, Plenty of room. Univ. M12 diesel, marine head,Roller furling, and a lot of nice little add ons to make this a great boat to sail on Narragansett Bay, My wife and I along with 2 spaniels live in a 28 foot trailer on coast of Maine during the summer so we are use to smaller quarters,( it seems normal to us ) the Catalina 25 is perfect boat for us.
Gear that's been added No need
Structural or complex improvements Again no need
The boat's best features
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.
Sailing characterisitcs
Motoring characterisitcs Its a little tuff backing out of a slip (esp. in a strong wind)
Liveability See above
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Other comments I dont believe I could be any more satisfied with any other boat in the same price range and size
