If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again?	Yes maybe, I think we would go for a 2003 or newer becuase of the chain plate redesign.
Gear that's been added	No, this boat came loaded.
Structural or complex improvements	I correct some minor issues. We are planning to add another 30 amp service for the AC unit.
The boat's best features	The big cockpit, walk through swim platform, shallow draft and good construction (but I wish they used foam cored decks instead of wood).
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.	Catalina should have moved the jib sheet winches aft a little bit so I didn't have to climb over the wheel to work the sheets.
Sailing characterisitcs	The boat sails GREAT ! The boat get up and moves. No too many boats can keep up with us with the tal rig and the 180 jib out.
Motoring characterisitcs	The boat motors well. Move than enough power to get you through the worst of times.
Liveability	We liked the layout of the boat but she does have a few things we don't like. The toilet is in the worst stop unless you don't use it. The salon seats are not comfortable for sitting on. The steering cable access panel in the aft cabin restricts the second crew member from sleeping in this space on their side.Other than that the kitchen is a little small and front door for the refrigerator would be nice.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)	50 / 50. Sometimes thet call you back and sometimes they don't. If you want to spend money on part they call you right back.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any	Yes, very helpful. I recommend Winter Sailing they are first class.
Other comments	Pound per dollar a solid investment in FUN!
