Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. No problems
Sailing characterisitcs Just a good solid, all-around experience.
Motoring characterisitcs No problems with 6hp Johnson.
Liveability A great "camping out" boat but wouldn't want to live on it though my 22 year old daughter said she would.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Bought from friend
Other comments I looked at getting a much bigger boat until I sat down thought about what I really wanted to do and ended up with my 22. It's docked at a local marina and is ready to go at the snap of a finger. There's a lot of information, availability of parts and support from other Catalina 22 owners.
