If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Absolutely, I was looking at brand new boats, but for some reason checked the local paper for used boats one Saturday. My father had a Catalina 27 when I was growing up and we had so much fun with it that I decided to save my money and buy this 1977 boat. It has been nothing but fun since then.
Gear that's been added Depth finder, new stove, new head, new mainsail, and new furling genoa.
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features It is a tall rig so it sails nicely in the lighter North Texas winds.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.

Liveability Fairly small bunks, not great for anything longer than an overnight.
