Year built 2002
Location of boat Michigan
The boat is sailed on The Great Lakes
How the boat is used Day sailing
Normal wind strength less than 10 knots
Average size of crew 2-4
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2002
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes I would. It is a stable, fun family day sailor.
Gear that's been added added a retractable ladder
Structural or complex improvements None
The boat's best features It room, comfort, and handling. On shore I get a lot of compliments on the look of the boat.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. none
Sailing characterisitcs Basically a solid feeling boat. Can be a little tricky in a gust. Light feel to the rudder.
Motoring characterisitcs Non motor at this time.
Liveability
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) I did have to deal with the dealer and Catalina on my first boat, and though the boat had issues, the support I recieved was excellent.
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any Excellent dealer. They understood the boat and were great to work with.
Other comments If / when I move up in size, Catalina will be the first boat I look at.
