If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again?
Definitely. I traveled all over the U.S. and looked at many brands and qualities. The 470 is by far the best buy. Frankly, I don't know how Catralina could make a profit and put so many name-brand goodies into a production boat. I'm parked next to a 46' Beneteau. Heavens, what a difference in gear quality and construction. I wouldn't dare go off-shore in the Beneteau.

Gear that's been added
Boat was well equipped with many extras. Many are not being used by virtue of type of water I sail.
Structural or complex improvements
None required.
The boat's best features
Layout down below. Best by far of any boat I've seen.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc.
Steering is stiff,...but that's probably in the design,...have had it checked and can't find any structural problems
Sailing characterisitcs
Boat handles very easy. Wife and I sail it alone. No problems (we're 77 and 76).
Motoring characterisitcs
Engine is very reliable. Boat is fast for it's size.
Liveability
Extremely comfortable. A/C in owner's cabin operates independently from other 2 zones.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)

A little slow but F.B. has always been helpful.

The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
Dealer. No problems. Cash transaction.

Other comments

Age and health suggest selling it. If I do, we'll both miss it.
