The boat is sailed on Bays, sounds, or protected salt water
How the boat is used Weekends and longer
Normal wind strength 10-15 knots
Average size of crew solo
Liveaboard? No
Owner bought the boat in 2001
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes! Great boat for the money. Lots of features more commonly found on larger yachts. Easy and fun to sail.
Gear that's been added
Structural or complex improvements
The boat's best features The best features of this boat are the rigging design. All lines lead aft and are easily tended making the boat a pleasure for the single handed sailor.
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. The bow hatch catches the jib sheets and the pedistal leaks.
Sailing characterisitcs Points very well on a close reach.
Motoring characterisitcs
Liveability Very comfortable over all. Short on storage space but isn't every boat? Hot & cold pressure water systems make those weekend trips much more comfortable and enjoyable. Large and comfortable double berth under the cockpit.
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any)
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any
