I installed a light in my clothes closet that automatically comes on when the closet door is opened on my 2000 30 Ft Catalina MKIII.

This is a simple installation that requires inexpensive and easy to find parts.

I used a magnetic switch wired to 12 volts and a 24 LED Strip available from Mastlight.com.

Step One - connect a magnetic switch with one side at the closet bulkhead and the other side on the door. Select the switch settings to turn on when the switch is opened and off when closed.

Step Two - mount a LED Strip inside the closet above the door opening. These strips come in many sizes available from Mastlight.com or Superbrightleds.com.

Step Three - Wire the switch and Led Strip in series to a 12 volt source.
