General condition and any additional information
This has been a well cared for boat and is in excellent condition. It is a fun boat for a variety of sailing situations and is easily trailered, set up, and launched.
I am the original owner of the classic MacGregor 26D Windrunner. This is a great boat for a family learning to sail. The boat is very forgiving, being self righting and positive flotation to prevent capsizing and sinking. It is also a good performance boat for the more experienced sailor and can be operated single handed. Windrunner is a dry boat and in off season stored on land under cover. The motor is stored indoors.
The cabin has an original equipment pop up with vinyl window enclosure to expand head room which is in as new condition. There is also an original equipment storable table for the cabin area which is as new condition.

Improvements to the hull, deck, rigging, engine, or interior
I upgraded the interior with maple marine plywood for the front bulkhead over the galley and the door for the enclosed head which contains the portapotti. In the galley I installed teak racks for dishes and cups. I also installed teak shelfs for books, binoculars, hand held VHF radio, and hand held compass.
I also upgraded the fuse box which now has a d.c. outlet and battery monitor for up to two batteries. The house battery is new.
I replaced the original rudder with an Idaho HDPE ( high density polyurethane ) performance rudder which helps weather helm control. In the new rudder I installed a nylon bolt which functions as sacrificial in the event of striking an underwater object or in a grounding situation. The metal rudder housing is reinforced and has undergone electrolyze treatment.
I recently replaced the original drain hoses for the cockpit and galley. I also replaced all of the original blocks topside on the cabin and the mast. The hull tilt indicator is new. Six fenders are included two of which are extra large.
