Review of the Catalina 30 by Doug

Owner bought the boat in 2012  
If the clock could be turned back, would owner buy again? Yes  
Gear that's been added Nicro solar vent installed in small hatch above salon. New instruments including autopilot. New head. New running lines.  
Structural or complex improvements Replaced the compression post block in the bilge with a custom stainless jack screw.  
The boat's best features Roomy below with good headroom. Decent access to engine. Boat has a solid feel and is easy to sail.  
Problem areas in terms of design, materials, maintenance, etc. Just maintenance items on a 22 year old boat.  
Sailing characterisitcs Tends to round up in a blow. We have the tall rig and wing keel.  
Motoring characterisitcs Tends to veer to port under power.  
Liveability Plenty of berths but not alot of storage.  
The owner's experience in dealing with Hunter (if any) N/A  
The owner's experience with the boat dealer or broker, if any N/A  
Other comments Like the T cockpit, full batten main, decent side decks for going forward.
