After walking the docks at our marina and seeing the larger boats with a freshwater inlet, I decided to add one to our 1985 C30. I got a Shurflo Pressure Reducing Fresh Water Inlet. I installed it alongside the shore power inlets and plumbed it into the boats system after the boats freshwater pump. A backflow preventer stops the shore inlet from forcing water back into the tanks. (They are not meant to be pressurized.) I did add a ball valve to allow me to fill the boats freshwater tanks from the inlet so there is no longer a need to dig out the hose and undo the freshwater fill caps.

It is nice to not have to worry about an empty water tank in the middle of washing dishes, etc.
